Mary Ruth's Obituary Mary Ruth Oliver, age 84, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013, in Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her two daughters, Elaine Clement of the Tibbs Community, Haywood County, TN, and Peggy Quinn of Shawnee, OK; her sister, Frances Mueller, of Ripley, TN; one grandson, Michael Lee Clement (Carolyn), and one great-grandson, Henry S. "Hank" Clement. Ms. Oliver was preceded in death by three husbands, John Ray Stewart, Billy Chandler, and Robert Oliver; her parents, Jobe and Bessie White Kerley; and several brothers and sisters. A graveside service for Ms. Oliver will be conducted on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 2:00 pm, at the Upper Zion Cemetery, with Bro. Bob Connerly officiating. Visitation will begin at Noon prior to the service, at the Brownsville Funeral Home. Ms. Oliver was a graduate of Lambuth University, she was a retired Social Worker for the State of Tennessee, a member of Brownsville Baptist Church, and was a distinguished artist with national acclaim, receiving several awards.
