Mary's Obituary Mary Nell Haynes Mann passed away peacefully February 12, 2018 Sugar Creek Senior Living in Brownsville TN. She was surrounded by her family and her loving caregivers. Mary Nell was born August 28, 1925 in Ripley, Tennessee to Samuel Ellsworth Haynes and Edith Thompson Hayes who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her brothers Samuel Haynes, Charles Haynes, Wallace Haynes and her sister Evelyn Haynes Sellers. In 1972 she moved from Ripley Tennessee to Brownsville and married the love of her life, Pat H. Mann, Sr. who died August 22, 2004. Mary Nell and Pat enjoyed travelling, entertaining their many friends, and pursued their faith and commitment to First United Methodist Church. They celebrated over 32 years of joy, happiness and spent their years together loving each other. Mrs. Mann is survived by her two sons, Dan J. Hackett (Debbie) of Montgomery, Alabama and Bill Hackett (Liz) of Nashville, Tennessee. She is also survived by her adoring grandchildren Elizabeth M. Hackett, Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Daniel J. Hackett, Jr., Lexington, Kentucky, William N. Hackett, Nashville and Jennie Hackett Sellers (Thomas) Tampa, Florida. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who also loved her dearly. Mary Nell had a gentle smile and warm personality and she never met a stranger. Her house was always open to friends and family. She loved to play bridge, enjoyed cooking her amazing meals, was an avid reader and an expert at solving crossword puzzles. She enjoyed sports and especially UT football. Her faith in God was her guide through many challenging moments and she was indeed a lady of great faith. Mary Nell Mann will be missed by many. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11 AM at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Roger Penn officiating. Visitation will be held with her family immediately following the service in Fellowship Hall. Committal services will be private in Oakwood Cemetery. Mrs. Mann's family would like to express their deep gratitude to the management and staff of Sugar Creek Senior Living. Each and everyone showed Mrs. Mann love, respect, and a sense of well-being every day. We especially thank Dianne Hooper, Tara Johnson, Eutropia Hawkins, Loretta Reed and Shirley Currie.
