Mary Helen Hunter

Mrs. Helen Middleton Hunter, age 47, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020, in Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Her Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 12:00 PM in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN with Rev. Richard Dickerson officiating. A visitation with began at 11:00 AM and go until 12:00 PM service time. Helen was born on April 1, 1973, in Brownsville, TN. She attended Bradford School in the Belle Eagle community and later graduated from Haywood County High School, Class of 1991, in Brownsville, TN. She was married to the love of her life, Jeremy Hunter for 28 years. She adored her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was so excited to be a new grandmother and welcome Lincoln Deaton to this world on August 27, 2020. She found much pleasure in spending time outdoors and the fall season was her favorite time of the year. Her dog, Lucy, brought her great joy in this life. Helen is survived by husband, Jeremy Hunter; her father, Paige Middleton; two sons, Jon Worth Hunter and Ian Russell Hunter; two daughters, Emily Ann Hunter and Maggie Kate Hunter all of Bells, TN; one grandchild, Lincoln Tyler Deaton; in-laws, Rusty and JoAnn Hunter, Mercer, TN; sister-in-law, Kelly Jo Hunter and brother-in-law, Jarad Hunter, both of Brownsville, TN; nephews, Danny Claiborne Antwine and Jason Hunter Elrod; nieces, Madeline Paige Elrod, and Emmarie Grace Elrod. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Middleton and one brother, David Middleton. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be given to the Brownsville/Haywood County Animal Shelter, c/o Sherry Batchelor, P.O. Box 449, Brownsville, TN 38012. All services and arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownville, TN.
