Mary's Obituary Mrs. Mary Evelyn Dowdy, age 76, passed away in Cornerstone Healthcare of Milan. She was preceded in death by her parents: Lofton and Laura Ashmore Fergie; her husband: George Carl Dowdy; one son: Carl Everette Dowdy; two daughters: Dottie D. Dowdy and Mary Carline Dowdy; and one sister: Willie Mae Watson. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 9, 2009 in the Brownsville Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Fayette County, TN. Mrs. Dowdy is survived by two sons: Leroy Dowdy (Debbie), Brownsville, TN, and John R. Dowdy (Tina), Somerville, TN; one daughter: Patricia D. Kelley (Thomas), Haywood Co., TN; two brothers: Billy Fergie and Frank Fergie, both of Fayette Co., TN; two sisters: Nell Frazier and Jean Luke, both of Fayette Co., TN; nine grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
