Mary Lou Catlett

.Mrs. Mary Lou Tippett Catlett, age 89, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.  Her funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at 1 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home with burial to follow at Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. Mrs. Catlett was born on June 22, 1929 to the late Norvell and Bessie Barden Tippett. She was a member of Shaw’s Chapel Baptist Church in Brownsville, TN.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Jesse Catlett, one brother, William Tippett, and two sisters, Betty Simpson and Molly Lott. She is survived by two daughters: Jessie Warren (James) Howell of Brownsville, TN, Brenda (Bobby) Swain of DeRidder, LA, five  grandchildren: Wayne Warren, Kim Warren of Brownsville, TN, Mary Meaux of Lake Charles, LA, Aimee (Lanny) Henderson of Livingston, LA, and Heather (Shane) Frusha, of DeRidder, LA, a special niece, Diane Hooper, ten great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 – Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
