Mary Maiden Bishop

December 20, 1957 — November 26, 2020

Mary Maiden Bishop (Momo), age 62, passed away November 26, 2020 in Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN, after a hard battle with cancer. A Memorial Service will be conducted Sunday, December 6, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Brown officiating. Mary was born December 20, 1957 to Charles Rupert and Betty Emmons Maiden in St. Louis, Missouri. She was self employed at Maiden Sawdust. She loved her family and loved getting together with them. She was one who was talkative, and she loved helping others. She was easy going and always loved a good laugh. She was kind to others and was the type of person who would give you her last dollar and share a meal with you. She loved playing games with her family and friends, whether it was Bingo or Gin Rummy. She loved spending time with her nieces and playing those games. Above all, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves a legacy of love for her grandchildren. She was always looking for numerous ways she could help them. She is survived by her children: Angie Bishop Seymour and her husband John of Whiteville, TN; Brandon J. Bishop and his fiancée, Stacy Davis of Bells, TN; her seven grandchildren: Chrissy Seymour, Monique Wahwassuck, Jessy Seymour, Jaiden Bishop, Jack Seymour, Amanda Davis, Brendan Bishop and one great-grandchild, Luna Rayne Greenway; two brothers: Dean Maiden and Glenn Maiden and one sister, Sandra Maiden Ward. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Bishop, her parents: Charles and Betty Emmons Maiden; a sister, Brenda Short and a sister-in-law, Laurie Maiden. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN. I fall asleep in the full and certain hope That my slumber shall not be broken; And that though I be all-forgetting, Yet shall I not be forgotten, But continue that life in the thoughts and deeds of those I loved.
