Martha Mae Hendren

Martha's Obituary Mrs. Martha Mae Hendren, age 92, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was born on November 15, 1923 in Haywood County, TN, to the late Robert A. Joyner and Claudia Mae Byrum Joyner. She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church and worked for Brownsville Telephone Company for 13 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Leo Hendren; and one sister, Nannie Maurine Smith. Survivors are her brother, Robert H. Joyner and his wife Maxine of Molino, FL. She leaves a legacy of nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Hendren will be conducted on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Brownsville Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Hutcherson officiating. Burial will follow in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Brownsville, TN. The Hendren family will receive friends at Brownsville Funeral Home from 11 AM until the service hour at 2 PM.
