Martha Irlene Clement

Mrs. Martha Irlene Davis Clement, age 96, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 in Sugar Creek Retirement Center. A Celebration of her life will be conducted Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held, Wednesday, February 15, 2017, 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. She was a member of Brownsville Baptist Church, Farm Bureau Women and Daughters of the Confederacy. She retired from the Dept. of Social Services as a case worker. Mrs. Clement was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Harrell Clement, her parents: Thomas and Erin Sue Pillow Davis, a brother: B.T. Davis and a sister: Carolyn Sue Gomez. Those left to cherish her memory are her children: David Clement (Elaine), Bells, TN, Mike Clement (Elaine), Ed Clement, and Eula Clement Douglass (Jim) all of Brownsville, TN, nine grandchildren: Aldon Clement (Brooke), Allie Thomas (Mike), Chelsea Matamoros (Yakko), Sharon Smith (Tim), David Clement, Jr., Lee Clement (Carolyn), Brad Douglass (Lorrie), Greg Douglass, Carla Haddock (Tommy), seventeen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and three very special caregivers: Eutropia Hawkins, Shirley Currie and Loretta Reed.
