Marceline M. Jacocks

Mrs. Marceline M. Jacocks, age 89, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 in the Sugar Creek Retirement Center in Brownsville, TN. Graveside Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, May 25, 2019, at 11:00 AM in the Bellevue Cemetery in Bells, TN with the Rev. Sammy Tillman officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Rus Hubbard, Shane Hubbard, Ryan Jacocks, Mitch Ammons, Danny Murley, Scott Ammons. Honorary pallbearers are Charles David Rutland, Allen Rutland, Cary Rutland and Jesse Jacocks. Burial to follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Mrs. Jacocks formerly resided at The Plantation in Leesburg, Florida. She was born August 24, 1929, in Bells, TN to the late W.P. Matthews and Nola Herndon Matthews. Marceline was a beautician in Brownsville, TN for over 40 years where she owned Marceline’s Beauty Shop, until her retirement. She and her husband, Solon were both passionate about golf and college football, especially the University of Tennessee Volunteers. Mrs. Jacocks was a member of the First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, of 71 years, Solon L. Jacocks and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by a son, Roy Jacocks and his wife, Trish of Dublin, Ohio, a daughter, Regina Hubbard and husband, Jon, Jonesboro, AR, a brother, Clarence Matthews of Memphis, TN, three grandchildren: Ryan Jacocks, his wife Karley, Rus Hubbard and his wife, Heather, Shane Hubbard and his wife Mookda and two great grandchildren, Mason and Reese Hubbard.  The Jacocks family would like to send their love and appreciation to Avalon Hospice and Sugar Creek Senior Living Community for the overwhelming care and support.
