Lucille's Obituary Mrs. Mary Lucille Matlock age 84 of Brownsville, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Lexington Healthcare and Rehab. She was born on March 14, 1933 in Haywood County to the late William Glisson and Bertha Mae Alford Glisson. Mrs. Matlock was a member of Bethel Community Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Herman John Matlock, Jr.; daughter, Debra Matlock Watson; brother, Finis Glisson and a sister Verna Mae Casey. Survivors include one son, Philip Matlock and wife Stephanie of Gadsen; three daughters, Linda Lipscomb of Lexington, Diane Williams of Brownsville and Tiffany Goodman and husband Keith of Whiteville; two brothers, William Glisson of Union City and James Glisson of Dyersburg; four sisters, Reba Anderson of Newbern, Billie Moody of Newbern, Betty Pugh of Newbern and Sandra Jean Lee of Union City. Other survivors include ten grandchildren as well as four great grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mrs. Matlock will be conducted Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Brownsville Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Neenan, officiating. Burial will follow at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
