Lucille's Obituary Lucille Kelley Elrod, age 73 passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church with Bro. Alan McCall and Kenneth Lamons officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents: Edward Morris and Pauline Austin Kelley, one sister, Rita Ann Phillips and one grandson, Bradley Emerson. Mrs. Elrod is survived by her husband of 55 years, Mr. James A. Elrod of Whiteville, TN; one son, James Ronald Elrod (Samantha) of Brownsville, TN; one daughter, Cynthia Emerson (David) of Jackson, TN; two brothers: Morris Kelley Jr. (Tess) and Dooley Thomas Kelley (Diane) both of Brownsville, TN; seven sisters: Dorothy Howard of Brownsville, TN; Mattie Kellum (Thurmond) of Whiteville, TN; Bessie Elrod (Donnie) of Savannah, TN; Mary Howard (David), Gloria Pittman (Thomas), Marlyn Bruce, and Marty Mastzner (Thomas) all of Whiteville, TN; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. 2 Timothy 4:6-7 6For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. 7I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
