Larry Carnell Overton

Mr. Larry Carnell Overton, age 75 passed away Monday, April 8, 2019 in the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 13, 2019 in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.

He was a retired farm equipment salesman. He loved spending his spare time reading Western stories and watching Western movies. He had much love for his family. He always had pictures of all his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved bragging on his family. He never met a stranger. Anyone who ever had the honor of meeting him never forgot him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcial Carnell and Mary Neil Davis Overton and one brother, Danny Wayne Overton. He is survived by his daughters, Cindy Currie (Allen), Brownsville, TN and Teresa Wallis (Keith), Mercer, TN, one brother, Marty Overton, Brooksfield, FL, two sisters, Kaye Baum, Collierville, TN and Roselyn Cowan, Whiteville, TN, seven grandchildren, Thomas Currie, Mary Catherine Currie, Adam Currie, Daniel Waldrop, Hollidy Magadan (Joel), Hunter Wallis (Jolene), Alyssa McFee (Callahan), four great grandchildren, Christian Magadan, Ian Magadan, Adriannah Waldrop, Gracie McFee and Baby Boy Wallis on the way.
