Mrs. Mary LaJeanne Douglass Black, age 94 passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at her home. Graveside Funeral Services will be Thursday, August 1, 2013, at 2:00 PM in Oakwood Cemetery. A visitation for the Black family will be Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. Mrs. Black was preceded in death by her husband: James Carl "Pat" Black, one son: Edd Douglass "Doug" Black, her parents: Edd Lee and Lucy Dallas Bowers Douglass. She is survived by her children: Milton Black (Kathy), James Carl "Buddy" Black (Dale) both of Brownsville, TN, Melanie Abel (Reiders), O'Fallon, MO, Betty Jean Alcorn (John) Livingston, TN, daughter-in-law: Kay Black, Memphis, TN, thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
