Joy Trainer

Ms. Joy Adair Acuff Trainer, age 72 passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in the Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Graveside Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 25, 2012 in the Springhill United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M., Friday, August 24, 2012 in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home. Ms. Trainer is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Melbourne (Melvin) Acuff and Lucile Alzada Adams Acuff and an older sister, Dorothy Marie Acuff Gardner. Ms. Trainer is survived by a son and daughter, John Perry Trainer, Jr. (Donna) of Brentwood, Tennessee and Lucille Anne Trainer McKenzie of Ripley, Tennessee and five grandchildren Hannah Rae Trainer, Sydni Eran McKenzie, Amanda Peyton McKenzie, Anna Jordan McKenzie, and Matthew Ryan Trainer. She also leaves a sister, Melba Elizabeth Acuff Cox (Mrs. William W. Cox, Jr.) of Brownsville, Tennessee, and most especially her dear neighbors Dan and Lou Farrow.
