Joseph Martin Pace, age 18, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 12, 2021, in Haywood County. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Christ Church in Brownsville, TN with Bro. Eddie Martin and Bro. Johnny Wayne Watson officiating. Burial will follow at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 23, 2021, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
Martin was born on March 19, 2003, in Jackson, TN, to Stephen and Elizabeth Pace. He grew up in Haywood County and graduated from Haywood High School in 2021. He was a member of Christ Church in Brownsville, TN. He worked as a welder for Piggyback Metal Works, LLC. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a friend to many others and will be missed by his friends and family.
Martin is survived by his parents, Michael Stephen Pace, Jr. and Elizabeth Watson Pace of Whiteville, TN; his paternal grandparents, Michael Stephen Pace, Sr. and Chris Yarbrough Pace; his maternal grandmother, Carolyn Watson of Stanton, TN; two brothers, Michael Stephen Pace, III, (Kayla) of Jackson, TN, James Matthew Pace of Whiteville, TN; one sister, Mia Elizabeth Pace of Whiteville, TN and one nephew, Gannon Michael Pace of Jackson, TN. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Red Watson.
Pallbearers for the service are Stephen Pace, Michael Pace, Matthew Pace, Carl Rutkowski, Edmund Rutkowski, Mike Michie, and Thomas Conatser.
Honorary Pallbearers are Mason Phillips, Bradley Johnson, Michael Johnson, Keaton Benard, Lyle Land, Luke Richardson and co-workers from Piggyback Metal Works, LLC Jonathan Lane, Jose Rosales, Gerardo Maciel, Gerardo Carrillo, Michael Smith and Emilano Trinidad.
