Joseph Paul Lewis

Mr. Joseph Paul Lewis, age 83 passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents:  Jesse Lewis and Mary Louise Whorton Lewis; his first wife:  Nancy Dickerson Lewis and his son:  Paul Michael Lewis.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years:  Mary Louise Whitehead Lewis of Brownsville, TN; one sister:  Hope Lewis Cannon of Whiteville, TN; one brother:  Jerry Lewis (Peggy) of Brownsville, TN; and one grandson:  Shawn Michael Lewis of Baton Rouge, LA. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Sweeney officiating.  Burial to follow in the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation for the Lewis family will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 2:00 – 3:00 P.M. at the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the Lewis family requests that memorials be made to the Westside Church of Christ, 3235 Hwy. 54 West, Brownsville, TN  38012
