Jonah's Obituary Mr. Jonah McGaughy passed away on March 6, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was born in Mississippi on July 1, 1983 to Marty McGaughy and Teresa Hatcher McGaughy Thorne. Jonah is preceded in death by grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Morrel (Vivian) Hatcher of Burnsville, MS and grandfather, Cleston McGaughy of Booneville, MS. Jonah worked at B&J’s Supermarket where his friendly and loving personality won over so many hearts of the community. He enjoyed riding four wheelers, fishing, hunting and being around family and friends. Jonah is survived by his father, Marty (Teresa) McGaughy of Iuka, MS; mother, Teresa Thorne of Morris Chapel, TN; a brother, Matthew McGaughy of Burnsville, MS; a sister, Gabby McGaughy of Memphis, TN; a half brother, Israel (Kyla) Thorne of Rogersville, TN; a grandmother, Joyce McGaughy of Booneville, MS; a niece, Katie McGaughy of Iuka, MS along with a host of family who loved him dearly. A memorial gathering to celebrate the life of Jonah will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 6 p.m. at the American Legion in Iuka, Mississippi. Read More Read Less
