John Harville's Obituary John Harville Stephens, age 78, of Linden, Tennessee, formerly of Brownsville, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital located in Jackson, Tennessee. Mr. Stephens was self-employed in construction, and avid outdoorsman and a loving father. Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes in Brownsville, TN. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 3, 2014, in the Chapel of Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes, officiated by Bro. Jeff Kelly. Interment will follow in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. He is survived by three sons, Travis Stephens of Lexington, TN, John Stephens Jr. of Linden, TN and Hershell Ray (Merideth Nicole) Stephens of Lexington, TN; one daughter, Debra (Curtis) Greene of Lexington, TN; one brother, Willie Earl (Glenda) Stephens of Linden, TN; one sister, Oneida Smith of Hohenwald, TN; nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Stephens, his parents, Hershell and Elsie McDonald Stephens; two sons, Gary Stephens and John Farron Stephens; and a sister, Barbara Stephens. Pallbearers will be John Stephens III, Darrell Greene, Dustin Stephens, Eric Spears, Tim Lonon and Mark Lonon.
