John David's Obituary John D. Powell, age 73, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2014, at his residence in Bells, TN. Mr. Powell was a wonderful husband, loving father and great brother in law. John David said, "Dry up the tears, don't cry for me. Bring on the dancing girls and party on!" He is survived by his wife: Wanda Ferrell Powell of Bells, TN; two sons: John D. (Vivian) Powell, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO and James A. Kerr of Jackson, TN; four daughters: Shelia (Mick) Carroll of Deli, LA; Teresa Powell of Nacodgeses, TX; Laura (Roy) Kellum of Brownsville, TN; and Christy Powell of LA; two sisters: Casceil Douglas and Charlotte (Kelly) Kendrick, both of Brownsville, TN; nine grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews and his best-friend, Mike Ellis. Visitation for Mr. Powell will be Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the chapel of Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes located in Brownsville, TN.
