Joseph (Joe) Moody, Jr., age 71 passed away Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011 in the Baptist East Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 11 AM in the Brownsville Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. A visitation for the Moody family will be Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011 in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home, from 5 to 8 PM. Mr. Moody was a retired food broker from Saunders and Associates. He is survived by his wife; Bettye Rice Moody, Brownsville, TN, a son: Joseph A. Moody, III (Cheryl), Bartlett, TN, two daughters: Alyce Watkins (Rick), St. Charles, MO, Elizabeth Nicholson (John) Starkville, MS, a sister; Cynthia Evans, Brownsville, TN, eight grandchildren: Rick Watkins, Jr., Michael Watkins, Alaina Moody, Joseph Moody, IV, Rachael Moody, Mary Bess Nicholson, Benjamin Nicholson, Daniel Nicholson, two great-grandchildren: Bryant Watkins and Parker Nicholson. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Brownsville Baptist Church, 5 North Wilson St., Brownsville, TN 38012, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or The Gideon's, P.O. Box 544, Brownsville, TN 38012.
