Joe Alvis' Obituary Joe Alvis Davis, age 74, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2014, at his residence in Brownsville, Tennessee. Mr. Davis was the owner and operator of Davis Auto Salvage for over 40 years and also worked for the Haywood County Highway Department as a mechanic for 20 years. Visitation will be 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM, Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes in Brownsville, Tennessee. Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM, Thursday, June 19, 2014, officiated by Bro. Charles Ferrell at Brownsville Memorial Gardens in Brownsville, Tennessee. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen Davis of Brownsville, TN; one son, James Davis of Brownsville, TN; two daughters, Belinda Joyce (Robert) Mayfield of Bells, TN and Mary Davis of Brownsville, TN; one brother, James Davis of Memphis, TN; four sisters, Dorothy Moore of Mississippi, Carolyn Ellington of Brownsville, TN, Betty Neal of Brownsville, TN, and Gail Ferrell of Jackson, TN; and four grandchildren, Diamond Kirkpatrick, Christian Davis, Dallas Davis and Ashley Davis.
