Joanne Hoppers' Obituary Joanne Hoppers Chapman, age 70 of Springville, TN formerly of Bells, passed away Monday, September 29, at St. Thomas West in Nashville, TN. Mrs. Chapman was born January 28, 1944, to the late Alvin Walker Hoppers and Eula Mae Jones. Mrs. Chapman worked at Union University, in the library. She was a member of Springville Baptist Church in Springville, TN. She was a devoted wife, a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and she served Him faithfully. Funeral services for Mrs. Chapman will be Thursday October 2, 2014 at 11:00AM at Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes in Bells, TN with Bro. Frank Kemper and Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday October 1, 2014 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes in Bells, TN. Mrs. Chapman is survived by her husband of 50 years, Rev. Jimmy Chapman; a daughter and son-in-law, Deanna Chapman-Barker (Bret); two grandchildren, Elise and Tristan Barker; one brother, Larry Hoppers (Billie Jean); two sisters, Judy Brown (Terry) and Barbara Dotson; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. Chapman was preceded in death by three brothers: Carl Wayne Hoppers, Eldon Hoppers and Troy Hoppers.
