Jimmy's Obituary Jimmy Redmond, age 72, of Bells, Tennessee passed away on October 24, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital with his family surrounding him. He was born on November 12, 1943 to Era Hart Redmond. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Pansy Sherrod and husband Bud, who was like a Daddy to him, Beauton Lowery, Ruby Dyer; his Father-in-law and Mother-In-law, Algie and Doris Taylor. Jimmy worked for Bellsouth as a lineman and cable repairman for over 30 years. He considered the men and women he worked with at Bellsouth part of his family and remained close with them until his death. He loved to fish and to grill for family and friends and was famous for cooking ribs. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joan Taylor Redmond; son, Richard Redmond and wife Dedi; daughter, Vickie Branch, and husband, Greg; granddaughter, Haley Williams and husband, Adam; grandson, Taylor Branch; great-granddaughter, Lexie Williams; sister, Carolyn Lovelace Crowder, along with several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. Pallbearers are Taylor Branch, Adam Williams, Greg Branch, John Edwards, Andy Edwards, Joey Rank, Gaylon Cooper and Wayne Bolding. Serving as honorary pallbearers are the retired Bellsouth Telephone employees. Funeral services for Jimmy Redmond will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Bells Funeral Home with Kyle East officiating. Burial will follow in Belleview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
