Jimmy Joe Elrod

Jimmy Joe Elrod, age 58, of Henning, TN, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, in Murfreesboro, TN.  Jimmy was born on December 8, 1964, to Jesse James Elrod and Brenda Reese.  He worked in the construction business.  He loved playing the guitar and enjoyed listening to all kinds of music.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, as well.  Family was important to him, and he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. 

He is survived by his mother, Brenda Reese; his partner; Susan Dancy; his daughters, Natasha Elrod and Lacisha Elrod; his stepdaughters, Julia L. Hoots and Jessica Littles; one adopted daughter, Heather Kent; one sister, Joyce Laverne Kelley; 15 grandchildren; 39 step grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father Jesse Elrod; two sons, Timmy Elrod and Jimmy Elrod; one stepson, Christopher Littles; two daughters, Amanda Whitehead and Jessica Marie Dancy; and one grandchild, Michael Blaine Whitehead.

The family has honored his wishes for cremation and no services are planned at the current time.
