He was born on June 2, 1969, in Jackson, TN to Jimmy Allen Horn, Sr. and Shirley Horn. He was a 1987 graduate of Jackson Central Merry High School, a 1996 graduate of Lambuth University, in addition, he studied at Murray State University for a Master of Music Education degree. He was a 2014 graduate of Memphis Theological Seminary, where he received a Master of Divinity degree.
He was a member of Ed Worsham Masonic Lodge #505, Alamo Lodge #164 and Jackson Chapter #85 Order of the Eastern Star. He loved music, movies, games, and spiritual debates. He was especially fond of his two cats, Maestro and Melody. He will long be remembered as one who was loving, kind, funny, some sarcastic, always joking, spiritual, and faithful. He was a good man, husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Allen Horn, Sr., his brother, Jonathan Horn, and his grandparents, John Horn, Ann Slemp, Floyd and Ruby Bickings.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 28 years, Katherine Horn; his mother, Shirley Horn; brother, Tony Horn (Leigh Ann); sister, Rachel Ward; nephews, Aiden Horn, Gavin Horn, Finn Horn, Thalen Ward, Louis Claus (Lauren), Alex Marsh, Zach Marsh; his niece, Zoe Marsh. He also leaves behind his aunt, Donna Slaughter; his uncles, Jerry Bickings and Don Bickings; and a great host of cousins, as well as his self-adopted daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Bradley Harland.
The family has requested memorials given in his memory be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023, or to the Masonic Widows and Orphans Fund of Tennessee, 100 7th Ave. N., Suite 1, Nashville, TN 37203.
