Mr. Jimmy Sullivan Chandler, age 70, went to be with our Lord on May 18, 2011 at Baptist East Hospital, Memphis, TN. He was born in Memphis, TN, raised in Brownsville, TN, and lived in Atoka, TN. He retired as supervisor from Kroger Bakery after 28 years of service. He was known for his love of his family, his fondness of the Smokey Mountains, his enchantment with flying, and his love for the family dog, Terri. He enjoyed fixing things himself and was quite the handy man! He was a long time dedicated member of Rivercrest Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his oldest brother: Bobby Chandler; his mother: Frances Chandler; and his father: Roy Chandler. He leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Gwendolyn Chandler; one son: and daughter-in-law, Don and Jackie Chandler, of Marion, AR. He also leaves two brothers: Jerry Chandler of Waterford, MS and Kenny Chandler of Powell, TN; five sisters: Betty Fincher, Arlington, TN, Shirley Bailey, Carolyn Hendrix, Peggy Lea, and Cathy Coulston, all of Brownsville, TN, and numerous friends. Visitation will be held in the Brownsville-Bells Funeral Home Chapel, Brownsville, TN, on May 20, 2011 from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at Brownsville Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Read More Read Less
