Jim's Obituary
Mr. Jurgen Jim Chaney, age 70, a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 at his home in Stanton, Tennessee.
He was born September 15, 1946 in Germany to the late Woodrow Chaney and Helga Koster. He was a skilled welder and was a Draftsman for AT&T.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Alex Rogers, and a great-grandchild, Skyler Martin.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Leach Chaney of Stanton, TN; three sons, Carl Stewart, Jr. of Brighton, TN, Clayton Stewart of Stanton, TN, and Clinton Stewart of Brownsville, TN; three daughters, Camille Beaver of Brighton, TN, Joy Featherstone of Somerville, TN, and Terrie Hartley of Georgia; as well as 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Serving as pallbearers will be Carl Stewart, Jr., Clayton Stewart, Clint Stewart, George Stewart, Phillip Stewart, Sam Rogers and Rob Stewart.
Funeral services for Mr. Jim Chaney will be conducted Sunday, May 28, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of Stanton Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Stanton Cemetery. The Chaney family will have a private visitation from 1:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m., and then will accept friends until the service hour.
