Jesse's Obituary
Mr. Jesse Lee Hendrix, age 91, passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 at his residence.
He was born March 24, 1925 in Haywood County to the late William Thomas Hendrix and Elizabeth Byars Hendrix. Mr. Hendrix was a farmer and member of First Assembly of God in Brownsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Frances Hendrix; three brothers, John Hendrix, Clarence Hendrix and Roy Hendrix; three sisters, Edna Saine, Myrtle Stanley and Louise Warf.
Mr. Hendrix is survived by two sons, Dewayne Hendrix and his wife Martha Jean and Ernest W. Hendrix and his wife Teresa, all of Brownsville; four daughters Janette Campbell and her husband Robert of Somerville; Sue Bennard and her husband Chuck of Brighton, Patsy Morgan of Brownsville and Valerie Sills and her husband Daryl of Jackson. Other survivors include 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Mr. Hendrix also leaves his special friends and caregivers, Kay Gary and Franklin Cliff.
Serving as pallbearers are Brian Bennard, Micah Bennard, Jeff Bennard, Troy Campbell, Chris Sills and Justin Sills.
Funeral services for Mr. Hendrix will be conducted Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Brownsville Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Brownsville Memorial Gardens. The Hendrix family will receive friends on Wednesday at the Brownsville Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until the service hour.
