Jerry's Obituary Mr. Jerry Dolph Norwood age 87, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 in the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was born December 27, 1931 to the late J.C. and Bernice Smith Norwood. Mr. Norwood retired from Kleer-Vu Plastics and was a member of the First Assembly of God in Brownsville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Ginger Norwood Warren; a son-in-law, Bobby Overton; a grandson, Jason Andrew Overton; one brother, M.H. Norwood; and one sister, Dorothy Norwood McClain. Survivors include his wife, Bettye Swain Norwood; two daughters, Melinda Overton and Sandy Graves; four grandchildren: Chris (Tabitha) Call, Carrie (Jay) McCage; Steven (Malinda) McCool and Christy (Stephan) Irvin; 11 great-grandchildren: Blake, Taylor, Damian, Carlie, Molly, Conner, Riley, Jaden, Aidan, Snowden and Thea. Pallbearers are Chris Call, Stephen McCool, Jay McCage, Chris Mullen, Allen Baggett and Keith Norwood. Honorary Pallbearers are Dane Norwood, Richard Nelson and Billy Earl Davis. Funeral services for Mr. Norwood will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 2, 2019 in the Chapel of Brownsville Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Brownsville Memorial Gardens.
