Jerry's Obituary Jerry Lee Martin, age 49 of Jackson, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was born May 30, 1968 in Brownsville to William Bert Martin and Dorothy Goodman Martin. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by two brothers Silas Bert Martin and William Roscoe Martin. He was an entrepreneur, owning and managing several properties as well as owning financial service companies. Survivors include his loving wife Sallie; one son, Miles Martin of Jackson; two daughters Madison Martin and Alaina Holt of Jackson; parents, William Bert Martin and Dorothy Goodman Martin of Hillville; one brother William Martin, Jr, and wife Bobbie of Jackson; two sisters Lucy Campbell and husband Truman of Brownsville and Joy Williams and husband David of Brownsville Serving as Honorary Pallbearers were Rob Caldwell, Jay Hall, Tom Fendley, Levoy Castellaw, Scott Hoosier, William Morris, Galon Baggett, Travis Baggett, Scott Adams, Chris Coulston, Jimmy McBride, Joey Conner, Mark Powell, Mike Fincher and Link Carlton. Funeral Services for Mr. Martin were held in the Chapel of the Brownsville Funeral Home on Saturday December 23, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Mary Beth Bernheisel, officiating. The Martin Family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour. In a celebration of Jerry’s life, the family has requested that all who have cowbells, to bring them to the service for a special finale. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Dream Center in memory of Jerry. Brownsville Funeral Home, 107 S.
