Jerry Alexander, age 80, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, at the Alamo Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Alamo, TN. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 1:00 PM, at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Mallonee officiating. There will be a private burial.
Jerry was born on November 9, 1944, to Walter Lee and Esta Ellen Page Alexander in Brownsville, TN. A devoted family man, Jerry cherished the moments spent with his loved ones and took great pride in his role as a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Hankins of Albertville, AL, his wife, Genell Alexander of Brownsville, TN, and his sister, Doris Smith of Ripley, TN. Jerry's legacy continues through his three grandchildren, Autumn (Steven), Paige (Seth), and Blaine, along with his seven great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.
Jerry led a vibrant life defined by his passion for wheeling and dealing, with an acute talent for making money that served him well throughout his career. Additionally, he proudly served in the Tennessee National Guard, demonstrating his commitment to his community and country.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lee Alexander and Esta Ellen Page Alexander, and by his siblings: two sisters, Nellie Johnson and Shirley Marbury, and four brothers, Hobert Alexander, Bruce Alexander, Odell Alexander, and Eugene Alexander.
The family has requested memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1640, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
