Jeff L Long

Jeff L. Long, age 72, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. All services are under the direction of the Bells Funeral Home.

Mr. Long was born in Missouri to the late John Ivan Long and Veta Abernathy Long. He worked as an OTR Truck Driver his whole life, and he enjoyed seeing our country at 65 MPH. He had a passion for tinkering and making treasure from what others might call junk. His love and ingenuity will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was also preceded in death by two sons: Jeffrey Long and Michael Long; eight brothers: Jerry, Johnny, Ronnie “Bull”, Lindell, J.D, Bobby, Jackie and David Long; three sisters: Patsy Long, Debbie Yates and Tootie Long.

He is survived by his wife of over 30 years: Cheryl Lynn Hudson Long; one daughter: Shannon Long of MO; He leaves behind numerous extended family and friends.

The Long family are honoring his wishes for cremation and further information will be announced as it becomes available by the Bells Funeral Home.
