Janie's Obituary Ms. Janie Johnson, age 86 of Brownsville, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was born September 23, 1931 in Stanton, TN to the late Harry Franklin Martin and Janie Tennessee Martin. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Melinda Carol Johnson; her sons, Walter Johnson and Jeffery Allen Johnson; her sisters Helen Martin Leek, Lucy Martin Moody, and Rebecca Simpson; her brothers Jr. Martin, James Martin, and Roy Martin. Survivors include her daughters, Sara Johnson Jones of Brownsville, TN; Phyllis Annette Johnson of Bells, TN, and Flora Lisa Johnson of Litha Springs, GA; her sons, Richard Johnson, Bobby Johnson, and John Mark Johnson, all of Brownsville, TN; her sisters Betty Martin and Janie Johnson, both of Henderson, TN; her brothers George Martin of Michie, TN, Clifford Martin of Brownsville, TN, and Earl Martin of Mississippi. She also is survived by a host of 21 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Johnson will be conducted Friday, April 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Brownsville Funeral Home, with Bro. Billy Campbell and Bro. Elmer Corbin officiating. The Johnson family will receive friends on Thursday, April 12, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., in the Chapel of the Brownsville Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Brownsville Memorial Gardens, Brownsville, TN. Brownsville Funeral Home, 107 S. Lafayette Avenue is in charge of arrangements.
