Janet's Obituary
Janet Conner Wynn, age 62, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 14, 2013, at the Cancer Center of America in Tulsa, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents: John William Conner, Sr. and Doris Louise Tribbitt Conner North; her step-father, James North; two brothers, John William Conner, Jr., and David Alan Conner. Funeral services will be held under the direction of the Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes at Holly Grove Baptist Church, Bells, TN, Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at 1:00 PM, with Dr. Marty O. Wynn and Dr. Fred Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. She is survived by her devoted husband, Andrew "Andy" Wynn of Brownsville, TN; three daughters, Sharon Wynn of Managua, Nicaragua, Catherine McBride and Mandy Jones, both of Brownsville, TN; three sisters, Karen Conner, Roberta Conner, and Mary Conner, all of Delaware; a special cousin, Lora Conner of Delaware; and seven grandchildren, Logan Martin, Andrew McBride, Tristian Sangster, Jasmine Jones, Mia McBride, Brianna Jones, and Davidia Jones, all of Brownsville, TN. Visitation will be held at the Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes Chapel, Brownsville, TN, on Monday, June 17, 2013, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM, and on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Jan attended Jackson State Community College where she earned her Associates degree in Science and and Associates of Applied Science in Medical Technology, and Memphis State University, where she earned her Bachelor degree in Business Administration. She was certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. She worked five years at Regional Hospital of Jackson, 10 years at Regional Cardiology Consultants, and several years at JMCGH in the Laboratory and Cardiology Departments. After retiring from the medical field, she owned and operated her own scrapbook stores in Brownsville and Jackson. Jan was a faithful member of Holly Grove Baptist Church were she was loved and returned that love to her friends and neighbors. She was a member of the choir, substitute Sunday School teacher, and taught the ladies' bible study on Tuesday nights. She went on several mission trips including a trip to Nicaragua as a medical assistant, as well as trips to Japan and Oklahoma. Jan loved and served her Lord and loved Holly Grove Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Carl Perkins Exchange Club and helped her husband at the Salvation Army Center. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
