James' Obituary
Mr. James Allen Stanley age 74 of Brownsville, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017 in St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett.
He was born March 12, 1943 in Dyer County to the late Andrew Earl Stanley, Jr. and Zantha Laverne Thurmond Stanley. Mr. Stanley proudly served in the National Guard and was a member of Iron Workers Local 167 for fifty years as well as a member of Capeville Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Fielder and Sandra Merritt.
Survivors include three sons, James Allen Stanley Jr. and wife Sandra, Christopher Dwayne Stanley and wife Amy and Tony Ike Stanley all of Arkansas; daughter Lawanna Stanley of Kansas; brothers, David Stanley, Gene Stanley and Charles Stanley all of Indiana and Rickey Stanley of Mississippi; four sisters, Barbara Thorndyke of Texas, Carolyn McPhil, Patricia Davis and Debbie Baker all of Mississippi. Other survivors include eight grandchildren, Mason, Olivia, Isaac, Donovan, Matt, Jessica, Julie and Joseph.
Graveside services for Mr. Stanley will be conducted Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Brownsville Memorial Gardens with Bro. James Keeton officiating and burial to follow. The Stanley family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
