James Roy "Bubba"'s Obituary Brownsville, TN – Mr. James Roy Smith Jr. “Bubba”, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at his residence in Brownsville. He was born on February 8, 1947 in Haywood County, TN, to the late James Roy Smith Sr. and Lela Arnold Smith. Mr. Smith was a member of the First Assembly of God of Brownsville and was a self employed farmer. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. On August 28, 1965 he married his wife, Mrs. Annette Glidewell Smith and was happily married for 50 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Melba Smith and Katherine Milam. Survivors include his wife: Annette Glidewell Smith; one son: Jamie Smith; two daughters: Angela Yoder and husband Mark and Lisa Perry and husband Mike, all of Brownsville; four sisters: Martha Hendrix and husband Jessie, Gen Rose Hopper, Sylble Lott and husband Ernest and Betty Ann Johnson, all of Brownsville; He leaves a legacy of four grandchildren: Lauren Ellington, Lindsey Yoder, Josh Perry and Nathan Yoder. He also leaves his loving companion “Fluffy”. Funeral services for Mr. Smith will be conducted on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Brownsville Funeral Home with Rev. Herschel Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. The Smith family will receive friends at Brownsville Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until the service hour at 1:00 PM. Serving as pallbearers are Josh Perry, Nathan Yoder, Steve Milam, Dewayne Hendrix, Kevin Smith, Ernest Hendrix and Richard Leath. Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Ellington and Bobby McCage.
