Mr. James Franklin "Frank" Matlock, Sr. age 82 passed away at his residence on Monday, Feburary 14, 2011. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 P.M., Thursday, February 17, 2011 in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Zion Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation for the Matlock family will be Wednesday, February 16, 2011 from 5-8 P.M. in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home. Mr. Matlock placed his faith in Christ at the age of thirteen at Zion United Methodist Church where he was a lay speaker, song leader, and chairman of the board during his lifelong membership there, he was also a member of The Gideons International. Mr. Matlock was a farmer, a mechanic for Wells-Lamont for fifteen years and a business owner for forty nine years of Matlock & Sons Lawnmower Repair Shop. Mr. Matlock was preceded in death by his parents: John Herman and Mary Mildred Harwell Matlock; five brothers: Charles Matlock, Earnest Matlock, John Herman Matlock, Jr., Wayne Matlock, Johnny Matlock and one sister: Mary Payne. He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Illa Mae Droke Matlock, Brownsville, TN, two sons: James Franklin "Sonny" Matlock, Jr. (Cathy) Jackson, TN, David Lynn Matlock, (Stephanie) Brownsville, TN, eight grandchildren: Joshua Matlock (Hannah), Alamo, TN, Karen Matlock Fackrell (Josh), Leesville, LA, Charles Matlock (Tami), Sacramento, CA, Michelle Matlock, Garner, NC, Skyler Rauchle (Blair), Jackson, TN, Summer Rauchle Paris (Steven), Medina, TN, Tyler Rauchle, Brownsville, TN, and Bill Gann, Selmer, TN; six great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
