James William Herring

James' Obituary Mr. James William Herring, age 82, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2009 in the Tennessee State Veteran's Home in Humboldt, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents: Marshall Washington Herring and Mattie Jane McSwain Herring; his son: William Earl Herring; and two brothers: Theodore Herring and James Thomas Herring. As a faithful member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church, he served in the choir and as a Sunday school teacher. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 25, 2009 in the Bells Funeral Home with Dr. John Farrar officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Herring is survived by his beloved wife: Lillian Herring, Bells, TN; daughter: Sylvia Lou Keener, Memphis, TN; three brothers: Lonnie Herring and Walter Herring, both of Richmond, VA, and Johnny Rushing, Bude, MS; two sisters: Ann Whitfield, Mechanicsville, VA, and Vondine Lowe, Grafton, VA; two grandchildren: Troy Keener, Jackson, TN nad Stacey Foust, Martin, TN; and four great grandchildren: Cameron Keener, Nevaeh Keener, Ashley Rogers and Jacob Rogers. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 24, 2009 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Bells Funeral Home.
