James W. Fulghum

James' Obituary Jim W. Fulghum, age 89, of Whiteville, TN, died Friday, November 13, 2009 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Kim Brian Hyback of Somerville, TN, after a long illness. Mr. Fulghum was born December 29, 1919 in Nashville, TN. He rose to the rank of Chief Machinists Mate in the United States Navy where he served from 1939 to 1955. Following his military service, he was employed with DuPont for 25 years. After his retirement, he relocated to Haywood County. Mr. Fulghum was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Norma Jean Hardister Fulghum of Whiteville, TN; his son, Arthur Fulghum, Sr; and his sister: Catherine Taylor. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Gordon and Sandra Fulghum of Whiteville, TN; his daughter and son-in-law: Susan and Kim Hyback of Somerville, TN; his granddaughter: Whitney Fulghum of Memphis, TN; and his grandson and family: Arthur, Cherry, and Randy Fulghum. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM, Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Harmony Baptist Church in Haywood County, TN with interment following in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
