James Elvis Wilson

James was born on November 24, 1954, in Humboldt, TN.  He worked for the Army Corp of Engineers, where he received his pin for 45 years of service.  He served for six years in the United States Army. He loved his country and served it faithfully. He loved life and loved to joke and laugh.  He worked on old cars, raised chickens, watched old movies, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.  He was delighted by babies, children, and animals. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvis Wilson and Mary Helen Chipman. He is survived by his daughter, Michele Weiner (Christopher); his special friend for over 20 years, Debra Caranta; three brothers, Terry Wilson, Albert Wilson, and Steve Wilson; one half-sister, Jo Freda Marbel; three nephews, Joshua Wilson, Justin Wilson, and Matthew Wilson. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.   All arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
