James' Obituary
Mr. James Edward Earnest age 77 of Brownsville, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016, at Trevecca Health and Rehabilitation Center in Nashville.
He was born May 29, 1938 in Haywood County to the late Robert Louis Earnest and Mary Beatrice Crossen Earnest. Mr. Earnest retired as a small engine technician from John Deere in Brownsville as well as was retired in 2009 as lieutenant of the Haywood County District 9 Volunteer Fire Department after twenty-three years of service. He was also an Emergency Medical Responder.
Mr. Earnest is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Doris Ann Moon Earnest; her daughter, Deborah Young of Kansas as well as three sons, Robert T. Earnest (Nancy) of Somerville, Tom Earnest (Sandi) of Kansas and Lynn Earnest of Nutbush. Other survivors include nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Chris Chism, Chris Taylor, Daniel Young, Morris English, John English and Bradley Jones. Honorary pallbearers are the Haywood County District 9 Volunteer Firemen.
Funeral services for Mr. James Edward Earnest will be conducted on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Brownsville Funeral Home with Bro. Lonnie Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery in Nutbush. The Earnest family will receive friends at Brownsville Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
The family requests any memorials be directed to the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery in memory of Mr. Earnest.
