J W's Obituary Mr. J W Jones, age 86, of the Holly Grove Community, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 in Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was born July 24, 1930 in Haywood County to the late Jim Henry Jones and Magnolia Bickerstaff Jones. Mr. Jones worked over twenty years at Haywood Ford Tractor, then worked at American Air Filter until its closing. He later owned and operated Jones Heating and Air. Mr. Jones was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Brownsville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Hill Jones; two brothers, Roy Jones and Hubert Jones; sister, Mary Virginia Cain; and two great grandchildren. Mr. Jones is survived by three sons, Bob Jones (Cheryl) of Symrna, Billy Jones (Doris) of the Holly Grove Community and David Jones (Judy) of Arkansas; daughter, Annette Maness (Jeff) of Bells; brother, Billy Gene Jones of California. Other survivors include eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers are Bradley Jones, Jonathan Jones, Matthew Jones, Dan Moses, Don Hayes, and Tim Cain. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Hayes, Ricky Burns, and Cody Maness. Funeral services for Mr. J W Jones will be conducted Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Brownsville Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. The Jones family will receive friends at the Brownsville Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org in memory of Mr. Jones.
