Ione Turner

Mrs. Ione L. Turner, age 95 passed away Thursday, September 3, 2015 in Crestview Healthcare Center. Funeral Services will be conducted, Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 11 A.M. in the First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. A visitation for the Turner family will be Tuesday, September 8, 2015, 10 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. in the First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband: John Rawlins Turner, her parents: Fred and Katie Davis Ligon and two brothers: Edd Ligon and Conrad Ligon She is survived by her son: Mike Turner, Brownsville, TN and a granddaughter: Whitney Bettie (Craig) Chattanooga, TN and three great-grandchildren: Turner Riddle, Cade Bettie and Lance Bettie. Since moving to Brownsville in 1961, Mrs. Turner has been an active member of the First United Methodist Church and was a member of the church choir for many years. Mrs. Turner was very active as a member of the Fourth Review Club and the Wednesday Morning Musicale. Other than family and church, her greatest love was music.
