Hattie's Obituary Mrs. Hattie Ann Latham age 78, passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at her home in the Holly Grove Community of Haywood County, surrounded by her family. Ann was born April 6, 1938 to Charles and Ruby McKay of Haywood County. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1956. That September, she married the love of her life, Charles C. Latham. From that union came three children, six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Together, Charles and Ann established two successful business, C & L Meat Company and Charles Latham Construction Company both of Jackson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and David McKay. Survivors include her husband of sixty years, Charles Latham; two daughters, Susan Griffin (Ron) and Sandy Laws (David) both of Bells; son, Charles “Chuck” Latham of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Lucas Butler (Laura), Caleb, Joshua, and Elijah of Rome, Georgia, Laticha Ramirez (Cameron), Elicia and Lilliana, Lance Butler, Jaycee and Latham all of Jackson, Malorie Diaz (Milton), Penelope, Addison and Sabastion all of Ladson, South Carolina, Casey Laws (Natasha) Ezekiel of Peru, Cameron Laws (Brittany) of Jackson; two special nieces and a nephew, children of her late brother, David, Mona McKay, Jean McKay Manahan and Shane McKay. Niece Kim Brantley and great nephew, Will Brantley as well as her dearest friend for over fifty years, Ruth Shaw of St. Louis, Missouri. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Hattie Ann Latham will be conducted Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary of Holly Grove Baptist Church, 8848 Poplar Corner Road Bells, TN with the Pastor, Dr. Fred Campbell and her grandsons, Dr. Lucas Butler and Casey Laws officiating. The Latham family will receive friends on Saturday at the church from 12:00 noon until the service hour. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be directed to Big Life Ministries for Peru through Holly Grove Baptist Church, in memory of Mrs. Ann.
