Harrell A. Nation, Sr.

 Mr. Harrell A. Nation, Sr., age 97 passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt, Tennessee. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. Burial will follow with in Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, Nutbush, TN. Visitation will be Saturday, February 10, 2018, 12:00 - 2:00 P.M.  in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. Mr. Nation was a WWII Army veteran who served in the 964th Engineer Maintenance Company.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Katherine Nation, his parents, Wade Hampton Nation and Ida Arizona Gulledge Nation, two daughters, Cheri Baynes and Joyce Holman, a brother, Henry Nation and a sister, Dortha Banks. He is survived by two sons, Jimmy Nation (Anita) Ripley, TN, Rev. Harrell A. Nation, Jr. (Janice) Jackson, TN, one brother, William “Pete” Nation (Kathy), Norman, OK, one sister, Lena Mae Churchwell, Humboldt, TN, two son-in-laws, Jerry Baynes and Tommy Holman both of Brownsville, TN, one sister-in-law: Marie Holcomb, Ripley, TN,  ten grandchildren: Kelly Dunham, Kevin Nation, Lisa Scott, Jason Baynes, Kim Griffin, Keith Nation, Kristen Nation Alvarado, Kent Nation, Jeremy Daniels, Rachel Webb and nineteen great- grandchildren.
