Harold Lloyd McCage, age 84, of Brownsville, TN, passed away on March 12, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, TN. Born in Haywood County on February 14, 1941, Harold was a dedicated machinist at Tebco, where he applied his skills diligently throughout his career.

Harold proudly served his country in the United States Army, embodying a strong sense of duty and commitment that he carried into his everyday life. He was known for his generous spirit, often helping anyone in need, and his warmth touched the hearts of many in his community.

An avid sports fan, Harold found great joy in watching baseball, particularly the St. Louis Cardinals. In addition to his passion for sports, he enjoyed a variety of hobbies including fishing, scrap collecting, spending time with his dogs, and taking care of his yard.

Harold is survived by his daughter, Betsy McCage Allen (Cooter) of Drummonds, TN; two sons, Cecil Lloyd McCage of Drummonds, TN, and Richard Lee McCage of Batesville, AR; a sister, Faye Anderson of Ripley, TN; and three brothers, Bobby McCage, William McCage, and Otha McCage, all of Brownsville, TN. He also leaves behind four beloved grandchildren and six cherished great-grandchildren.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Jenkins McCage; two stepsons, Robert Howell and George Howell; five brothers, Gene McCage, Ray McCage, Russell McCage, Harvey McCage, and James Diggs; and one grandchild, George McKinney.

The family is requesting that memorials be made to the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home to go toward funeral expenses.

The family has chosen cremation. There are no services scheduled at this time but will be announced as they become available by the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
