Harold J. Austin

Mr. Harold J. Austin, age 89 passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016 in the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, August 22, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, August 22, 2016, from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. Mr. Austin was an Army Air Force veteran and a retired Police Captain of the Brownsville Police Department. He was preceded in death by his parents: Archie Lee and Mae Wright Austin and one sister: Betty Alexander. He is survived by his wife of 69 years: Betty Foster Austin, Oakfield, TN, two sons: Kenneth Austin (Ginger), Jackson, TN and Wayne Austin (Debbie), Alamo, TN, two sisters: Jean Austin, Brownsville, TN and Geraldine Parimore, Millington, TN, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
