Harbert's Obituary
Mr. Harbert Franklin Borders age 77 of the Holly Grove Community, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016 at his home.
He was born February 25, 1939 in Haywood County to the late Hughes Franklin Borders and Willie Mae Young Borders. Mr. Borders was a jack of all trades but loved his heritage of farming. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-brother, Larimor Borders.
Survivors include his loving companion, Betty Spain; son, David Borders and wife Shari of Oklahoma; daughter, Teresa Hibdon and husband John of Oklahoma; two sisters, Linda Dotson of Florida and Hilda Wheeler of Kansas; step-sister in law, Hilda Wilson; Other survivors include three grandchildren, Jeremy Ray Clark, Amanda Hibdon and David Logan Franklin Borders, great grandchild, River Logan Borders, step-grandchild, Conner Mitchelle as well as best friends, Stacy Salzer and Bill and Dedi Taylor.
Serving as pallbearers are Anthony Cole, Chris Maron, Allen Lovelace, Mark Lovelace, Mark Ferrell and Billy Taylor. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Taylor, Terry Brown, Danny Morris, Bobby Stokely, Tommy Gaters and Bobby McCage.
Funeral services for Mr. Harbert Franklin Borders will be conducted Monday, December 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Brownsville Funeral Home with Dr. Fred Campbell and Bro. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. The Borders family will receive friends on Sunday at the Brownsville Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
