Hal G Love

Mr. Hal G. Love, age 80 of Bells, TN, passed away Monday, March 5, 2017 in the arms of his loving Savior surrounded by his family in JMCGH.
He was born November 13, 1936, Darling, MS, to the late Cliff Alderson and Ena Kate Brown Alderson Love (Bedford Love). Mr. Love was a retired business man, former outdoor editor for the Jackson Sun the popular column “Afield and Afloat”, Shriner, thirty-second degree Mason member of lodge #45, SAE Fraternity & many other accomplishments including serving his country in the United States Navy. He attended Union University where he met his bride, Peggy. After serving his country, he wanted to serve his fellow man in the medical field but due to health conditions, was unable to complete all of the courses. Due to his passion of service, many years ago, he made the decision to donate his body to science. Unfortunately, at his passing this was not an option.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Love was preceded in death by his son, Steven Bruce Love; sister, Sue Williams; brother, David Love.
Survivors include his loving wife, Peggy Holder Love of which they celebrated their fifty-ninth wedding anniversary on February 20, 2017; sons, Alan Keith Love & Thomas G. Love, Bells; daughter, Leigh Ann Smith, (Rick), Alamo; grandchildren, Chase & Rilei Smith. Sisters; Sandra Davis, (Billy), Germantown, Bettye Kate DeVore, Raleigh & Becky Hadley, (Les), Moscow; brother in law, John Williams, Germantown.
Services for Mr. Hal G. Love will be conducted Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Bells Funeral Home with Bro. Glynn Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. The Love family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at 1:00 p.m.
