Gloria Anderson

Sister Gloria Denise Griggs Anderson was born August 28, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri to Mr. Joseph L. Griggs Sr. and Mrs. Noreen Frye Griggs. Gloria gave her life to God at an early age. She was a member of United in Christ Fellowship Center, under Apostle James Trather, where Gloria served on the Usher Board faithfully until her health would not allow her to. Gloria was educated at Carver High in Brownsville TN. Gloria raised six beautiful children as her own: Marice Estes, Shirlene Mirriweather, Rite Estes, Linda Estes, Deshawn Estes, Johnny Baltimore. Gloria was employed for many years by the Hotel industry up until her illness. Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 4:30AM, Gloria departed this life at Regional Hospital, Jackson, Tennessee answering the call from her Heavenly Father to come home. Gloria was preceeded in death by Joseph L. Griggs Sr. (Father), Noreen Frye Griggs (Mother), Pearlie Mae Carney (sister), Eric Mae Frye (sister), Linda Griggs Harper (sister), Christeen Haynes (sister), Larthree Head (sister), Mary Griggs Banks (sister), Roy Van Griggs Sr. (Brother), William E. Griggs (brother), Joseph L. Griggs Jr. (Brother), Eugene Griggs Sr.(brother), Earline Hampton (Sister-in-Law). She leaves to Mourn her passing and cherish her memory two sisters: Linda Griggs of Somerville, TN, Clarice Jarrett of Jackson, TN; five brothers: Johnny Davis of Milwaukee, WI, Emmett Hampton of Decatur, IL, David Griggs of Madison, IL, Martin Griggs of Venice, IL, John Griggs of Martin, TN; three sister-in-laws: Marissa Griggs of Martin, TN, Janet Griggs of Venice, IL, Winifred Davis of Milwaukee, WI; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends and six children she raised as her own.
